Lockdown level 3
Monday morning 1st June saw many South Africans able to return to work under the Lockdown 3 regulations. Lockdown level 3 allows for certain industries to open under strict health protocols and social distancing measures.

This welcomed step opens for greater trade opportunities and manufacturing. We have a link to the full list of regulations below, but some of the highlighted point for supply chain are listed below:

- A CIPC certificate for transport is not required and transport can be done if the business is allowed to work under lockdown level 3 regulations, and dependant on destination laws.
- Rail, ocean, air and road transport is permitted for the movement of cargo for import and exports and subject to sub regulation by the cabinet minister and under strict health protocols.
- There is no longer preference for clearance of PPE cargo with customs.
